Required Human Resources Manager and Chef de Partie at the award-winning Nihiwatu Resort, Sumba. The successful applicant should have the following qualities and experience:
Human Resources Manager
Job Location: Sumba Island
Indonesian citizen.
Comfortable spending extended periods of time in a remote location.
Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance, and health and safety.
Developing and implementing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
Administering payroll and maintaining employee records.
Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
Planning, and sometimes delivering, training, including inductions for new staff.
Chef de Partie
Job Location: Sumba Island
Male, Indonesian citizen.
Comfortable spending extended periods of time in a remote location.
Relevant experience in similar high-end operations.
Strong kitchen leadership and organizational skills, as well as a keen eye for maintaining 5-star hygiene and sanitation standards.
Flexible and able to cater to particular guest requests/ preferences/ allergies.
Able to mentor, coach, train and develop the Kitchen Brigade comprised of local island staff.
Some experience with supervision of Food and Beverage Service and willing to assist with tasks beyond the scope of the job description.
